This is an exceptional opportunity to make a very real contribution to the protection of the Australian bush.
Bush Heritage an independent not-for-profit that buys and manages land, and partners with Aboriginal people, to protect our irreplaceable landscapes and magnificent native species, forever.
Our vision of healthy country protected forever sees us work where we’re needed most: in areas of high conservation value with low levels of protection. With the help of our donors, we protect and help manage more than 8 million hectares, providing habitat for almost 6000 native species, including at least 239 threatened species.
You will be responsible for undertaking and coordinating a large range of land management activities, as well as engaging with variety of people including Traditional Owners, volunteers, neighbours, donors and stakeholder groups. You will support the daily operations of the Reserve and support our extensive and diverse volunteer conservation program. You will be required to deliver on weed control programs, and undertake revegetation works, pest animal control and other conservation activities. In addition, you will support the native plant nursery and assist with repairs and maintenance of infrastructure, plant and equipment in order to ensure safe and effective operations.
You will have a passion for conservation and practical work experience in land management and natural resource management coupled with demonstrated ability to work independently.
