About the Company

Brisbane North PHN supports clinicians and communities in Brisbane's northern suburbs, Moreton Bay Regional Council and parts of Somerset Regional Council. It covers approximately 4,100 km2 of urban, regional and rural areas, with a population of over 900,000.

The key objectives of the Brisbane North PHN are:

  • Increasing the efficiency and effectiveness of medical services for patients, particularly those at risk of poor health outcomes; and
  • Improving coordination of care to ensure patients receive the right care in the right place at the right time.

About the Role

This is an exciting and rewarding opportunity to work with all areas of the organisation to create and deliver insightful dashboards and reports to help meet our objectives.

Duties and Responsibilities

  • Responsible for the design and development of reports and dashboards using Power BI
  • Management of Power BI reports in a Microsoft SharePoint environment
  • Support the PHN information reporting requirements including the extracting, transforming and loading of data sets and building data models
  • Administer the PHN SQL Databases
  • Support the organisation with uploading and reporting data sets to funding bodies
  • Work collaboratively with staff to develop reporting solutions

Skills and Experience

  • Proven experience in delivering Microsoft Power BI solutions
  • Experience in developing data visualisation solutions
  • Experience with SQL Server
  • Proven experience in working with XML, ETL frameworks and T-SQL
  • QLIK experience is desirable
  • Ability to communicate effectively to diverse audiences, both technical and business
  • Strong problem solving, analytical and technical skills including the ability to gather business data requirements and train staff in clear and concise layman's terms
