About Bridge   

Bridge Housing is a leading Tier 1 NSW community housing association that sources and develops social and affordable housing for people on moderate-to-low incomes across 14 local government areas in greater Sydney. We have over 2,000 properties housing more than 3,100 residents. By 2021 Bridge Housing will manage 3,450 homes, providing secure accommodation to 4,500 residents. 

In 2017 Bridge Housing were awarded the NSW Government tender to manage 1,200 public housing tenancies in the northern beaches for the next 20 years.

The Role

Reporting to the Chief Operating Officer (COO), The Manager, Service Improvement and Innovations will drive service delivery excellence across Bridge Housing’s operations. They will do this by identifying business development opportunities, contributing to business development through tender writing, developing service improvement programs and reviewing operational policy.  

The role will additionally provide expert advice on policy matters, and drive service improvement and innovation through analysis and reporting on operational performance.

Key Accountabilities Include:

  • Utilise high level policy development and project management skills by scoping, implementing and evaluating key business development and service improvement initiatives.
  • Support the continuous improvement of Bridge Housing’s Operations with a focus on service delivery and innovation through policy analysis and policy review including the provision of high quality written advice on business processes improvement, policies, projects and initiatives.
  • Support the COO to meet business priorities and drive continuous improvement by providing high level advice and developing briefing notes, discussion papers, policy briefs and other documentation that support change.
  • Lead the continuous improvement of quality service delivery within Operations by developing and implementing projects and initiatives (using full spectrum project management frameworks) outlined in the strategic plan, business plan and as delegated by the COO.
  • Help ensure Operations complies with corporate governance and regulatory obligations by analysing and reporting on operational performance, providing recommendations for improvement and coordinating the preparation of executive and Board reporting.
  • Support the growth and sustainability of Bridge Housing by identifying business development opportunities and contributing to the preparation of strategic planning, tendering and change management processes and communication.

Essential Criteria

To be successful in this role, you will have experience in managing successful projects, and the ability to engage both internal and external stakeholders. Senior policy development experience in a community service or government environment is also essential. A strong level of research analysis and written communication will see you perform well in this role. 

You will have a degree in social science, community services or business improvement and have experience with senior policy development in a community service or government environment.
