Key Responsibilities

  • Build on and develop the Major Gifts & Bequest program
  • Research, identify, cultivate and steward new prospects and existing donors
  • Build and manage a new pipeline of potential donors
  • Effectively manage donors who have varying interest across different environmental campaigns
  • Ability to create targeted and individual cases for support and proposals focusing on a broad range of campaigns
  • Develop improved stewardship plans
  • Create plans to increase supporter commitment and relationship value
  • Manage cultivation events when necessary
  • Support on a strategy to enhance the level of giving from low level regular givers and mid-range donors
  • Maintain a comprehensive database
  • Work closely with both the CEO and the Director of Fundraising to drive the Major Gifts program

Skills & Attributes

  • Proven experience working with major supporters; developing portfolios of both new and existing donors
  • Demonstrated success designing and implementing major donor and/or bequest fundraising strategies
  • A proven track record in achieving revenue targets and growing fundraising income
  • Background in cultivating donors from research through to ask
  • Experience in managing and improving supporter journeys
  • Exceptional communication skills
  • An alignment with environmental/social campaign work
