About the role

Women’s Services, part of our BaptistCare Community Services Division located at our Penrith location is seeking a full time (female) team leader. As a Team Leader your role is to oversee, develop and implement programs that meet the areas of vulnerability for women in Sydney, based on holistic, client-centred care that is life transforming. Women’s Services work within a trauma informed care, strengths based and harm minimisation framework - working to support women and transgender women involved in the sex industry and women experiencing complex circumstances or marginalisation such as homelessness, domestic violence , addiction etc. For more information Community Services at BaptistCare visit

About you

You will need to be passionate about creating inclusive spaces for women, and be intentional to promote and develop opportunities for belonging, safety and greater choice. Ensuring service users are treated with respect, equality and dignity and to assist in caring for clients in a professional manner, appropriately and free of any bias is essential to the role. The successful applicant will possess relevant Degree in Community Services, Social Work, Psychology or equivalent and demonstrated experience in managing a small team. You will have a commitment to social justice and experience in working individually with clients from marginalised backgrounds. You have a high level of negotiation and crisis management skills and ability to liaise with key stakeholders. You will be willing to undergo a police check and have a valid WWCC. You hold a current driver’s license.
