The Brotherhood is at the forefront of social policy debate and has influenced major shifts in public policy. We are looking for an energetic people person to engage Victorians on the costs and benefits of upgrading to more efficient hot water systems.
Your knowledge and experience in community engagement and energy efficiency will assist our clients upgrade their hot water systems. As one of a small team of home energy engagement officers you will visit clients homes to explain the benefits of hot water upgrades and facilitate access to microfinance and subsides to cover the cost.
The position is based Fitzroy and will require regular travel to the outer suburbs of Greater Melbourne. The salary will be between $26.82-$30.36 per hour + 25% casual loading + super. Attractive salary packaging options are available. Brotherhood staff are entitled to package $15,900pa of their salary as a pre tax benefit.
The role is a casual position and is expected generate between 30 to 38 hours per week , with a projected drop in program activity during the period of late December and early January.
The energy engagement officer will undertake home visits to explain the costs and benefits of hot water system upgrades and help clients apply for microfinance to cover the expense of the upgrade. The energy engagement officer will effectively prioritize the administrative and delivery requirements of the role and ensure accurate and confidential data is maintained.
The successful applicant will be required to undergo a standard Police Check.
