An exciting opportunity exists for enthusiastic and motivated Cook to join a team dedicated to making a real difference to the lives of older adults living in the Carrum Downs and Frankston area.
The Retirement and Ageing division at the Brotherhood of St Laurence provides residential aged care, independent living accommodation for people on low incomes, in home care home based and day and respite services for older people and people with disabilities.
Day and Respite Programs of the division provides high quality flexible services that assist older people, people who have a disability and carers to access and participate in community life. Priority is given to those who are socially isolated.
The Cook is responsible for menu planning, preparing, cooking and serving nourishing, palatable and attractive meals for clients of Day and Respite Programs. Working with the Program Coordinator, this position ensures that the food safety and kitchen hygiene complies with the legislative and Occupational Health and Safety requirements at all times.
This is a part time position working 21 hours per week.
Salary will be in the range of $53,718.54 - $58,534.65 (pro rata) per annum, based on skills and experience plus superannuation. Attractive salary packaging provisions are available to increase take home pay.
