Want to be part of a fun-loving, high-performing team that’s passionate about the power of good comms? We’re looking for a fixed-term full-time (12 months) Engagement Advisor – Dental based in our Melbourne office.

The Australian Health Practitioner Regulatory Agency (AHPRA) and the National Boards regulate Australia’s 740,000 health practitioners across 15 health professions. At the heart of our work is patient safety. Our vision is safe and competent health practitioners for Australia. We think that’s a pretty good reason to come to work and we know that good communications and engagement is central to achieving it.

Sitting in the Communications team, this role will work closely with the Executive Officer - Dental and focus primarily on engagement and communications projects for the Dental Board of Australia. The role includes supporting stakeholder forums, providing recommendations and advice, developing communications plans, approaches to policy engagement and consultation, focus groups and surveys, implementing these activities via a range of channels, as well as analysing, reporting on and evaluating activities.

To excel in this role you need to be a team player with excellent judgement. You need to be able to understand complex information quickly, and be able translate it to plain language; juggle competing priorities, tight deadlines and large workloads; and build strong working relationships with your peers and stakeholders. It’s a dynamic and fast-paced environment and the organisation is currently going through an organisational restructure so being flexible and adaptable to change is a must.
