About the role

This position will be responsible for supporting Red Cross’ strategic priority of building individual and community resilience to emergency events and disasters.

The role will take a lead in lead the ‘Be Prepared – not just a motto’ project, working in partnership with Scouts SA, Guides SA and Surf Life Saving SA to co-design and develop activities and information to engage young people in building emergency resilience, and to embed these activities and resources within participating organisations.

What you will bring:

  • Proven experience in youth engagement and designing educational or resilience activities for young people.
  • Significant experience in utilising a strengths based community development approach.
  • Highly developed interpersonal and group facilitation skills.
  • Proven experience in project management.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to work collaboratively and to form strategic partnerships.
  • Extensive ability to adapt to evolving work environments whilst maintaining a flexible and professional work ethic and approach.
