The WA Branch Committee of Amnesty International Australia has leadership opportunities available. As a Committee Member you will develop leadership, communication, teamwork and facilitation skills and contribute to social change. You will have the opportunity to contribute to national and international campaigns, national board consultations and set the direction of the Committee.

The Committee is comprised of volunteers who coordinate and develop local human rights activism in the region and contribute to national and international decision making forums on a range of governance and human rights issues.

We encourage all who have a passion for human rights, the willingness to work hard, and an interest in developing their leadership within Amnesty to apply; however, the following skills and experience are desirable: 

Skills & Experience

  • Previous experience within Amnesty International
  • Experience on a board/committee/ or in a governance role
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Experience working with people and leading projects
