The Victorian HIV & Hepatitis Integrated Training and Learning (VHHITAL) Program is delivered by a Consortium comprising of North Western Melbourne Primary Health Network (NWMPHN) in partnership with Alfred Health, Australasian Society for HIV, Viral Hepatitis and Sexual Health Medicine (ASHM), and Peter Doherty Institute for Infection and Immunity, including the Victorian Infectious Disease Service (Doherty Institute).

The VHHITAL Program Coordinator is responsible for the successful delivery of a Victorian state wide blood borne virus (BBV) and sexually transmissible infections (STI) training and certification program. The Program Coordinator provides additional strategic and practical leadership on Victorian BBV & STI opportunities, including those that enhance prevention, diagnosis and management in primary and tertiary care in collaboration with the ASHM team and other stakeholders.

In collaboration with the VHHITAL Consortium partner agencies and stakeholders, this position is responsible for implementing the strategic direction set by the governance group, and leading the program team to deliver BBV & STI training and education for Victorian primary care practitioners and enhancing collaboration between primary and secondary care services.

Candidates will have a tertiary qualification in health, fields allied to health, education or business management and will have experience in the successful management of projects, budgets and financial reporting with knowledge and understanding of State and Commonwealth processes and policies around HIV, Viral Hepatitis and STIs and Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander Health. Experience is required in managing the development and delivery of education programs for people working in a professional service area, with the ability to establish and maintain stakeholder relationships. With your experience in managing people and reporting on contracts to funding providers, you will have an understanding of government funding processes, monitoring and evaluation and outcomes-based management.

The position is offered full-time, on a fixed term contract until 30 September 2019, with the possibility of extension. A competitive salary is offered with access to non-taxable fringe benefit salary packaging options.
