About the role:

This newly created role will oversee the implementation of a regional employment project (Try, Test & Learn Bridge to Employment) which will include the resettlement of refugee families from Melbourne Metropolitan to the Grampians and Loddon Mallee Regions.

About you:

You have a demonstrated ability to manage programs and projects effectively to meet KPIs, timelines and budget constraints, with an ability to support recently arrived families to resettle utilising a strengths-based approach and a sound understanding of the challenges faced. In addition, you will have an understanding of and practice in engaging and working with diverse communities, government departments, sub-contractors, employers and community agencies to ensure service coordination.

To be considered for the role you will have:

  • Degree in Social Sciences, Social / Community Services, or equivalent
  • At least 5 years' experience in project implementation, associated stakeholder management and people management, including some experience working with recently arrived migrants and refugees
  • A current valid Driver's Licence
  • A current Working with Children Check (for employment purposes)
  • Capacity to travel to the Loddon Mallee and Grampians Regions as required
  • Experience with regional employment development programs (desirable)
