Brisbane Domestic Violence Service (BDVS) is the specialist domestic violence service for the Brisbane metropolitan region. Brisbane Domestic Violence Service is funded by the Department of Justice and Attorney General to provide free and confidential services to adults and children who have been impacted by domestic and family violence. BDVS has a focus on achieving safety and stability for the individuals and families that we support.

How you will make a Difference:

As one of our Team Leaders, you will lead the Safer Triage and Response team providing leadership and consistency in the management of intake into BDVS services, via phone, web, email, and the Queensland Police Service (QPS) referral system; assisting the team in their initial triage of women and children into BDVS & provide daily oversight of prioritisation; and foster a continuous improvement approach, based on best practice.

This is a full time permanent employment opportunity, with conditions and salary at Level 6/7 of the SCHADS Award dependent of qualifications and/or skills.

To be considered for this role, you’ll need to hold a relevant qualification and/or extensive experience, or a combination of experience, expertise, and competence.

You should also have prior demonstrated experience performing a similar role leading and coaching a team to provide support to victims of family violence and other crimes.

High level communication, ability to focus operationally and strategically is also essential for this role.
