The Public Service Association of SA (PSA) is the principal trade union representing state public sector workers who provide a wide range of public services to the South Australian community.

The PSA is committed to pursuing the interests of its members through strong, effective representation and advocacy, and is dedicated to promoting the value and importance of the public sector in our community.

The Customer Service Officer in the Member Benefits Team works under general direction and undertakes tasks and responsibilities related to servicing PSA members with non-industrial member benefits including but not limited to PSA Holiday Homes; discounts on shopping cards, Metrocard recharge, theatre tickets, movie tickets and the PSA Plus member benefits program. The Customer Service Office will also provide general administrative support and assistance as required, as part of the broader PSA Administration Team.

The role is available as a full-time position on a 6 month contract.

What we are looking for:

  • Experience in customer services with experience in point of sales.
  • Familiarity with basic office administration (including cash and stock handling and EFTPOS machines).
  • Ability to provide a high level customer service, both internal and external.
  • Demonstrated ability to work within a team.
  • Strong focus on accuracy and attention to detail.
  • Experienced in switchboard.
  • High level keyboard skills and intermediate IT proficiency.
  • Developed interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to observe strict standards of confidentiality and discretion at all times.
  • Ability to establish effective working relationships, both internal and external, and handle conflict in a professional, positive manner.
  • Capacity to develop and apply an understanding of the Public Sector.
