About the Role:

We are currently accepting applications for multiple, permanent part time (60 hours per fortnight) Team Leader positions working within a newly established Domestic Family Violence (DFV) Co-response Service located at Cairns.

The position will be required to provide hands-on operational support to the Regional Service Manager and operational support for DFV Practitioners enabling the DFV service system response to commence as the same time as the intervention by QPS. The position will also work closely with the Queensland Police Service (QPS) including Shift Supervisor and other staff as required. DFV specialist practitioners support victim-survivors and persons using violence in crisis and Early intervention.

Providing hands on leadership to this new program, you will provide leadership and support to clinical practitioners in the areas of:

  • An integrated DFV Co Response service, working alongside QPS and other government and non-government agencies to support better client outcomes.
  • Provide immediate management support for DFV practitioners including but not limited to, case management, clinical decision making, escalation of issues, duty of care issues and client service delivery.
  • Ensure effective clinical resource utilisation to maximise service provision for clients and deliver Operational Key Performance Indicators (KPIs).
  • Promote a team culture of cohesive and responsive service provision to clients through effective leadership to venue employees.
  • Duty of care and Diary management.
  • Prepared accurate and timely report on Performance management productivity of clinical employees.
  • Oversee delegated HR responsibilities for direct reports including training and development, performance management, Professional Performance Reviews (PPRs) and clinical reviews, disciplinary management, and Workplace Health and Safety and Rehabilitation.

About You

To be considered for this, you will have.

  • Experience in therapeutic intervention to individuals affected by DFV by employing contemporary theoretical and evidence-based clinical approaches that are culturally aligned. An undergraduate level qualification in Social or Behavioural Sciences.
  • Demonstrated experience in driving excellence in service delivery and performance.
  • Demonstrated experience in leadership and supporting teams through change.
  • Experience in providing case management, consultation and support to clinical practitioners.
  • Experience managing a team including performance management, monitoring and review.
  • Experience in client service delivery including complex case management, assessment, intake and risk screening, case planning, case reviews, co-service delivery and critical incident response.

  • Ability to work on a rotating shift roster with on-call, regular weekends and evenings required to meet operational requirements of the role.

The salary being offered is between $101,708.62 to $114,588.06 per annum pro rata for part time, to be negotiated depending upon qualifications and experience, plus superannuation. We also offer our employees as follows:
