Deaf Connect are seeking an Occupational Therapist to provide paediatric OT services to deaf and hard of hearing children across greater Brisbane including Redlands, Logan and Ipswich.
The rewarding Paediatric Occupational Therapist (OT) position is responsible for the provision of occupational therapy assessments and therapy to children and adults via the different Deaf Connect programs (NDIS, Healthy Hearing monitoring, Hear for Kids in School, and other fee-for-service programs).
In this role you will have access to mentoring within the Therapy Services team and also a generous professional development budget to upskill your knowledge and experience. In addition to this we support your journey in learning Auslan via formal training and the ability to practice Auslan within a multi-disciplinary team.
The OT will work in a variety of settings, which may include the centre, tele-practice, and community settings such as childcare centres, kindergartens, and schools. Catch-up on your favourite podcasts or audiobooks whilst you travel between clients. You will interact with children and their families supporting families’ communication choices, values and embrace Auslan as the language of the Deaf community.
This role is family friendly, mainly working throughout school terms. We can provide you flexibility with working hours and a hybrid work from home/office model, our focus is to provide you with the balance you need to work around your non-work-related commitments.
