The Tuvalu Red Cross Society (TRCS) was established in 1981 and is part of the International Red Cross and Red Crescent Movement. The society’s work is guided by seven fundamental principles (humanity, impartiality, neutrality, independence, voluntary service, unity and universality), policies and by their Strategy.There are 8 officers in total working at the TRCS HQ, and over 150 volunteers mobilizing activities in the country. The Governing Board governs the Society between intervals of the General Assembly.
The Australian Volunteers Program is an Australian government-funded initiative. We support partner organisations across the Pacific, Asia, and Africa to achieve locally led change.

There are two allowances for a hybrid assignment.
The allowance for in-country phase is AUD$2,365per month.
The allowance for remote phase is AUD$131 per month.
