Once again our bi-monthly user donation poll has ended, with 564 people voting during Septmeber and October for 4 charities to receive a share of our $2000!
And the final results of the poll numbers looked like this:
Centre for Policy Development 13.10% (74 votes)
Friends of the Earth Australia 19.47% (110 votes)
The Big Issue 9.20% (52 votes)
WIRES - NSW Wildlife Service 58.23% (329 votes)
We've made our donations to these great charities, but if you'd like to support them too, head across to their websites where you can find out more about their work or make your own donation:
Centre for Policy Development is "a hothouse of creative, forward-looking ideas for fair and sustainable policy change. We work to reveal the important choices we face about the policies that affect our lives, by exploring new approaches to the relationship between governments, markets, society, and the environment."
Friends of the Earth Australia is "a federation of independent local groups working for a socially equitable and environmentally sustainable future."
The Big Issue is "one of Australia’s leading social enterprises providing creative solutions to the issue of homelessness."
WIRES - NSW Wildlife Information Rescue & Education Service is "the largest wildlife rescue organisation in Australia. When an echidna is hit by a car, a possum is attacked by a cat or a lizard gets its head stuck in a drink can - WIRES is there to help."
And of course there's another poll for November and December, so don't forget to visit our front page to vote for your favourite organisation again!
