The Benevolent Society’s vision is to build a just society where all Australians can live their best life. For more than 200 years we have supported people at the margins of society: Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander Australians; children, young people, and their families; older people; carers and people with disability. We are an independent, non-religious service provider which supports people to live life their way.
As part of The Benevolent Society's vision, we are strongly committed to reconciliation with our First Nations people of Australia. We remain steadfast in our commitment to promoting the economic, political, and social inclusion of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples.
Funded by the National Disability Insurance Agency (NDIA) and delivered in line with evidence-based best practice, the Early Childhood Approach (ECA) is designed to provide a range of flexible and responsive supports for children under 9 years with developmental delay or disability. ECA focuses on family-centred practices and supports greater inclusion for children by building on family strengths and growing the capacity of mainstream and community services to support children with developmental delay or disability.
A new and exciting opportunity has become available due to growth in our Early Childhood Approach program. As a Deputy Manager, you will work alongside two other Deputy Managers leading Team Leaders to provide high quality, consistent practice and service delivery, to ensure the ECA team provide excellent service to children and families engaging with the program. This role will also support the Manager in adhering to all of ECA’s requirements as a Partner in the Community for the National Disability Insurance Scheme (NDIA).
The successful candidate will need to have strong experience in working with families with complex needs, including those who have additional barriers to receiving support.
We support people to live their best life. That includes you, our employee. A ‘best life’ is unique to everyone and can change as life changes:
