As a key member of our animal care and customer services team, you will play a vital role in providing exceptional care to our animals and delivering outstanding customer service to our community.

Responsibilities:

• Provide daily care and husbandry to animals, including feeding, cleaning, and enrichment.
• Assist with animal intakes, adoptions, reclaims and rehoming processes.
• Interact with customers, answering queries and providing information about our animals and services.
• Handle customer enquiries, feedback, and complaints in a professional and empathetic manner.
• Maintain accurate records and databases.

Requirements:

• Experience working with animals, preferably in a shelter or rescue environment.
• Excellent customer service and communication skills.
• Ability to work effectively in a team environment.
• Physical ability to lift, bend, and stand for extended periods.
• Availability to work a rotating roster, including weekends and public holiday.

Desirable Qualities:

• Certificate in Animal Welfare or related field.
• Experience with animal behaviour and enrichment.
• Knowledge of animal welfare laws and regulations.
• Basic computer skills and familiarity with databases
