The position will support Local Learning and Employment Networks (LLENs) to transition to leading the facilitation of VET clusters across Victoria. VET clusters are groups of schools that cooperate to deliver vocational education and training to school students in order to increase offerings and accessibility.

Funding has been provided to SELLEN as the ‘lead’ LLEN to:

• distribute transition funding on the instructions of the Taskforce to individual LLENs;
• oversee the delivery of individual LLEN’s of VET Cluster funding deliverables;
• coordinate supports for the LLEN Network to build capacity to deliver the Department of Education’s VET Cluster policy;
• work closely with relevant members of the Department of Education’s Senior Secondary Pathways Reform Taskforce to support delivery of the above roles & responsibilities.

SELLEN will manage the distribution of funding to cluster coordinating LLENs, based on the Department’s requirements. SELLEN will oversee the administration and reporting. The cluster coordinating LLENs will use the funding to:

• Establish new VET clusters, in partnership with schools or support existing VET clusters to expand their activities;
• Employ staff;
• Cover administration costs; and
• Procure required technology.
