About the role

  • Full time (part time options considered)
  • Fixed 12 month term (with possibility of extension)
  • $95,384 - $100,220 plus statutory superannuation and 17.5% annual leave loading

The Senior Advisor, Evidence and Impact will be a creative and innovative thinker with a demonstrated ability to work strategically and collaboratively. You will have experience working with theories of change and impact measurement frameworks and will be an effective and clear communicator who can explain and present complex concepts and findings to a variety of audiences. Have strong interpersonal skills and a strong ability to work closely with colleagues across the organisation.

Reporting to the Manager, Evidence, Monitoring and Impact, the role will contribute to the evidence and impact work of Our Watch. In particular, supporting the development and implementation of effective ways to monitor and report on Our Watch’s contribution to the prevention of violence against women. This will include responsibility for:

  • understanding and communicating our organisational impact. This will include working to develop and refine impact/outcomes measurement frameworks and tools.
  • working collaboratively to contribute to monitoring and reporting against Our Watch’s Strategic Plan.

About you

The successful candidate will have:

  • Tertiary qualifications in public policy, social or political science, public health, law, gender studies or other area of relevance, or equivalent experience.
  • High level analytical skills related to research, monitoring, evaluation, or outcomes (ideally relevant to gender equality, prevention of violence against women, women’s policy, or another relevant area).
  • Demonstrated experience in contributing to the design, implementation, and management of theories of change, monitoring, evaluation and learning frameworks, or impact/outcome measurement frameworks.
  • Expertise in developing strategic approaches to outcomes and impact and translating them into actionable implementation plans.
  • Commitment to working collaboratively and respectfully in a high-performing team and organisation, with a persevering style, with creativity and ability to meet tight deadlines and work productively with limited supervision.
