Responsibilities

  • Support community groups to develop and implement programs and initiatives that utilise the variety of spaces and resources on offer.
  • Support the Library Coordinator in their day-to-day activities and be prepared to act in their position as required.
  • Foster partnerships with local organisations, schools, businesses, and community groups to maximise resources and reach.
  • Create and maintain a welcoming environment where all individuals feel valued, respected, and included.
  • Collect and analyse feedback from community members to continually improve and refine library programming and services.
  • Serve as a liaison between the library and the community, advocating for the library's role as a catalyst for positive change.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree or graduate diploma in Community Development, Social Work, Education, or a related field preferred.
  • Demonstrated experience in community engagement or program development.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to build relationships and work collaboratively with diverse stakeholders.
  • Creative problem-solver with a passion for innovation and continuous improvement.
  • Ability to organise and prioritise multiple projects and deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
  • Commitment to equity, diversity, and inclusion, with a desire to create accessible and inclusive programming for all.
