GCYS is a leading non-profit youth support and specialist youth homelessness organisation. Established in 1980, GCYS responds to the needs of marginalised, disadvantaged, and homeless young people and their families across the Gold Coast Region via a range of centre based and mobile support services.

The Youth Support and Advocacy Worker will join a team of dedicated staff to support young people 16 to 24 years who are experiencing or at-risk of homelessness to housing. The Youth Support and Advocacy Worker will support young people to plan and gain the skills and support they need through case management.
Each Youth Support and Advocacy Worker will work with a caseload of young people across the Gold Coast Region as needed. They will deliver planning, coaching and case management services that achieve strong outcomes for young people, responding to each young person’s aspirations, strengths, and circumstances.
This role is suited to a passionate, energetic person who is driven and motivated to deliver positive outcomes for young people. As the "front door" of the youth service you need to be welcoming but have a trauma informed framework to understanding of youth homelessness.
We are looking for someone who has a tertiary qualifications and/or equivalent experience in the youth and/or homelessness sectors.
