The Climate Media Centre is looking for a Media Advisor to join the team on a 12-month contract. In this role you will help identify great media opportunities, support a wonderful group of people to get their voices heard in the media and be a great team player who is involved in executing media plans, delivering training, and supporting spokespeople.
The Climate Media Centre (CMC) connects journalists with powerful stories of people and places affected by climate today, as well as inspiring stories of progress and smart solutions.
We plan and execute media opportunities aligned to our purpose - empowering and inspiring trusted voices to drive the further and faster cuts to climate pollution we need. The CMC:
This is a fixed term, full-time, 12-month role working 38 hours a week, with the ability to work outside of normal business hours as required. We are open to flexible work options, so let us know how you like to work.
We are open to considering shorter-term contracts for the suitable applicant.
Climate Council is Australia’s own independent, evidence-based organisation on climate science, impacts and solutions. Powered by our incredible community, we advocate for necessary solutions that rapidly cut climate pollution, and shape the national conversation about the consequences of inaction.
