ABOUT THE ROLE

CEHL is focused on creating positive housing outcomes for our partner housing co-operatives, co-op members and renters. We are looking for a Real Estate Coordinator to join the Asset Services team.

Key accountabilities will include (but are not limited to):

  • Support the General Manager in operationalising the CEHL Portfolio Growth Strategy and respond to identified project and development requirements.
  • Support property acquisitions, development and disposals processes.
  • Coordinate updates and input changes to the Development Register, Acquisitions and Disposals Register and other registers as required.
  • Coordinate the completion of the Co-op Housing Plans, working with Co-ops and relevant CEHL teams.
  • Support tender applications for development funding opportunities.
  • Support General Manager to engage with, negotiate and establish working relationships with preferred developers, consultants, legal advisors & real estate agents.
  • Maintain awareness of property market conditions across the State of Victoria.
  • Develop and contribute to policies and procedures relating to the services related of the role.
  • Ensure communication to co-operatives is informed and accurate and work proactively with other teams to ensure consistent information is provided.
  • Support the General Manager to develop, monitor and manage the Real Estate Services budget, ensuring compliance with CEHL financial and reporting policies and procedures.
  • Monitor and report on property development, acquisition and disposal budgets in-line with compliance requirements, providing analysis and tools to assist in informing decision making.

WHO WE ARE LOOKING FOR

The role will ideally suit an experienced Real Estate Project and Development Coordinator with a positive can-do attitude. The successful candidate will be able to problem solve, have a proactive work ethic coupled with the following qualifications, experience and attributes:

  • Previous experience in housing projects and/or real estate development preferred.
  • Advanced administrative support skills with a sound working knowledge of electronic record management systems, including reporting.
  • Easily able to engage and communicate with a diverse range of people.
  • Excellent attention to detail, and ability to feedback issues, organise and prioritise tasks, problem solve, and ask questions when needing further clarification.
  • Strong numerical, negotiation, interpersonal, written, oral communication and presentation skills.
  • Self-starter who constructively challenges existing thinking, systems, and processes.
