ARC Justice is an independent, for-purpose, human rights organisation that incorporates the Loddon Campaspe Community Legal Centre, the Goulburn Valley Community Legal Centre and Housing Justice. We have offices in Bendigo and Shepparton and work with people in regional and rural Victoria who experience disadvantage relating to their housing, family, relationship, consumer, economic, social and civil rights.

About the role

This position would ideally suit a candidate with considerable experience in providing legal advice, casework and representation primarily in family law. This includes representing clients at the Family Dispute Resolution Service and various court events.

You would play a significant role in providing access to justice by delivering and coordinating family law services as part of the Family Advocacy and Support Services (FASS) Program. You would support vulnerable and disadvantaged community members by assisting them with their legal rights and responsibilities in family law matters.

What you bring

  • Demonstrated considerable experience providing legal advice, casework and representation primarily in family law.
  • Experience in one or more areas of law relevant to disadvantaged communities, particularly our other key practice areas of family violence, child protection and general civil.
  • Exceptional interpersonal skills with an ability to engage with people who have complex vulnerabilities.
  • A commitment to access to justice and equity principles.
