The Victorian Council of Social Service (VCOSS), the peak body for non-government community services in Victoria, is looking for a Transport and Disadvantage Policy Analyst to join our dynamic policy team and help to address the causes of transport disadvantage in Victoria.

As the ideal candidate, you will demonstrate

  1. A strong understanding of key issues relating to transport and disadvantage in Victoria,
  2. Highly developed skills in strategic policy development and advocacy.
  3. Knowledge of Government processes and issues affecting the non-government sector.
  4. Well developed conceptual, analytical, research and evaluation skills.
  5. Highly developed written and verbal communication skills.
  6. Ability to manage and prioritise a range of tasks, plan workloads and work to deadlines.
  7. Highly developed interpersonal skills.

You will work closely with the CEO, policy and public affairs manager, policy team, VCOSS members, government departments and ministerial advisors.

This position is 4-5 days per week. VCOSS offers a number of flexible work conditions to help staff to achieve work-life balance. Salary and conditions of employment are governed by the VCOSS Enterprise Agreement 2006. Salary is currently $57-76k pro rata, plus super, commensurate with experience.
