UnitingCare Sunshine and Broadmeadows (UCSB) is a multi service community agency in Melbourne’s Northern and Western suburbs. UCSB is well known as a provider of responsive and compassionate financial counseling to individuals and families who are experiencing financial difficulties.

Through a combination of casework, community education, secondary consultation and broad-based systemic advocacy the Financial Counselling program provides a free, confidential service within a culturally and linguistically diverse community.

Communication skills are a must for this position. The successful applicant will have experience in financial counseling or relevant field, the ability to advocate and negotiate successful outcomes for clients and educate the community.  A knowledge of credit provision and debt recovery, the Bankruptcy Act, Centrelink, utilities and current consumer protections is required.

Salary and conditions in accordance with the Social Community Home Care and Disability Services Award.
