Our latest venture involves converting recycled shipping containers into affordable housing, which is quickly growing requiring immediate support.

About the role

Join the Manufacturing & Enterprises Team at TRY in a new, fast-paced and challenging role running administration processes for our TRY Build, TRY UnContained and TRY Works divisions.

You will ensure that across the two sites in Dandenong South that:

  • administrative support is provided to the Director such that they can focus on their executive responsibilities;
  • efficient systems and processes are established to ensure that the administrative and accounting needs of TRY Build, TRY UnContained and TRY Works are successfully undertaken; and
  • information required by TRY’s Finance Department to raise orders, pay invoices and reconcile corporate card expenditure is coordinated and available in a timely manner.

Further aspects of the role:

  • Administrative Support for the Director, including arranging meetings, formatting reports, coordinating events and visits, etc.
  • Undertake the administrative requirements of TRY Build & TRY UnContained which operate out of different factories in Dandenong South.
  • Develop systems and processes to ensure that administration is undertaken efficiently in a timely manner and complies with the requirements of TRY’s Corporate Offices and TRY’s policies and procedures.
  • Provide required information to TRY’s Finance Department to enable the accurate and timely generation of orders, production and payment of invoices and the reconciliation of corporate card expenditure.
  • Check the accuracy of petty cash reimbursement & employee reimbursement expenses before forwarding to Finance for processing.
  • Able to understand financial reports, assist with setting budgets and monitor profit and loss reports.
  • Verify or confirm receipt of material and services.
  • Manage agreements, leases and contracts.
  • Ensure correct delegations are used in the authorisation of expenditure.
  • Display attributes of professionalism, engagement, enthusiasm, patience, positivity and innovation.

Key Selection Criteria

  • Expert level skills in MS Office Suite including Excel and Word.
  • Proven experience developing and improving administration systems and processes.
  • Previous experience working closely with the finance department or conducting finance functions.
  • Excellent communicator – both written and verbal.
  • Ability to deal effectively and diplomatically with complaints and enquiries of a sensitive nature.

Desirable criteria

  • Experience using accounting systems.
  • Previous experience as an Executive Assistant.
