SSI Employment and Enterprises provides recruitment services, pre-employment planning and training, and work experience opportunities to help people establish suitable career pathways. Meaningful employment is an important component to a stable, secure and independent future. SSI works with long-term unemployed, newly arrived refugees, people seeking asylum, migrants, young people and people with disability to achieve this.

Your Contribution

The purpose of this role is to develop and implement the Opportunity Pathways Program (OPP) to support high quality, customer-centred services, viability, sustainability and expansion. Manage the day to day operations of the program in line with SSI's values, policies and procedures. Supervise staff and stakeholders. Provide monitoring and review of the program, in line with contractual obligations.

Your main duties would include:

  • Provide strategic advice and planning to support the sustainability and expansion of the Opportunity Pathways program in key identified areas
  • Lead a multi-disciplinary team comprising Opportunity Pathways staff, volunteers, resource teams, stakeholders and partners to meet agreed outcomes of the Opportunity Pathways program
  • Develop a program framework, including systems, policies and procedures to manage the capability, sustainability and expansion of the OPP program
  • Provide ongoing monitoring and review of the Opportunity Pathways program to inform the FaCS NSW evaluation process and other assessment measures as required, and ensure appropriate statistical data is collected
  • Ensure the Opportunity Pathways program meets program outcomes, as agreed with clients, business partners and key stakeholders.
  • Scope opportunities for new partnerships and collaborate with existing internal and external partners to strengthen and maintain key client resource relationships.

Selection Criteria - About you

You will be tertiary qualified in in community services, social work or business. Demonstrated leadership, strategic thinking and people management capabilities will be highly essential for this role along with experience in employment and project or program management.

You will be committed towards a collaborative approach when working with people from diverse cultural backgrounds to ensure cultural consideration of the needs of people and families from refugee and humanitarian background in service delivery.

Expertise in managing outcomes-based programs within employment services and experience managing programs with a strong focus on supporting disadvantaged clientele overcome vocational and non-vocational barriers would be desirable.
