The company:

St Sergius Aged Care (SSAC), operating under the auspices of the Russian Relief Association (RRA) of St Sergius of Radonezh, is NSW’s only Russian and Slavic culturally specific aged care provider established in the 1950’s by a group of community – minded people. The RRA built a small nursing home to support their community’s elderly and nearly 70 years later are still operating and supporting a close-knit vibrant community. Care and accommodation services include a large residential aged care facility, independent living units and a day care centre. The organisation is also registered to be a home care provider.

Respected and valued for its high quality services, SSAC is now required to advance in asset and service base to further meet the growing needs of the communities they serve.

The role:

The Board is seeking a dedicated key executive as CEO, to lead and manage all strategic and operational aspects on behalf of SSAC. With an initial emphasis on exploring future development, expansion and partnerships your mandate will be to maintain strong quality, safety and financial performance and foster good governance, including accountabilities. You will be setting the agenda and leading positive change.

This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced senior executive to develop long term strategies, inspire high performing teams and deliver on the organisation’s vision.

Critical to success in this role is a demonstrated history in delivering effective communication and people management strategies, building strong relationships with community and assuring sound financial outcomes. Executive management experience in health or aged care services along with tertiary qualifications in a relevant field are essential.

You will have delivered significant change initiatives through your transformational leadership style, business acumen and an in depth understanding of the required governance as it relates to the increasing challenges in the aged care sector.

Our ideal candidate will have values compatible with SSAC and it is desirable to have some sort of affinity / previous relationship in either Russian or other Orthodox Slavic cultures. Though not essential, it would be desirable for the successful candidate to speak Russian.
