Make-A-Wish® Australia makes vital wishes come true for critically ill kids, building resilience and complementing medical treatment. Really sick kids who experience a wish journey eat better, sleep better; they even respond better to their treatment and have a decreased perception of their physical limitations. Currently, they only reach around one quarter of the kids diagnosed with a critical illness throughout Australia each year. They’re working hard to make sure that in future, every single one of them can experience the healing power of a wish.

We are excited to now be recruiting for an enthusiastic Existing Partnerships Specialist in Sydney! This role will see you account manage, support and develop relationships with existing business partners and key corporate supporters. You will be in direct contact with some of the organisation’s biggest partners. As such, you will need to provide outstanding customer service and proactive support to ensure these relationships are maximised which in turn, will ensure the organisation reaches its goals and objectives.

With second to none problem solving and communication skills, your ‘can-do’ attitude and attention to detail brings about positive outcomes that represent the organisation in the best possible light. A true contributor, you take initiative and proactively identify opportunities to improve relationships and business partnerships.

Key responsibilities of the position:

  • Account management and retention of current partners and corporate supporters
  • Work with all partners in your portfolio to proactively renew existing business partnerships and upgrade them where possible
  • Provide professional, high quality account management and support to business partners
  • Ensure all campaign activations are performing against objectives
  • Represent Make-A-Wish Australia at designated events relating to business partnerships
  • Ensure all partners’ financial commitments are adhered to and payments are followed up
  • Proactively support partnerships/individual retention and growth targets year on year

To secure this exciting new opportunity, you will possess:

  • Previous experience in similar role
  • Demonstrated ability to effectively account manage and grow major business partnerships
  • Strong relationship development and management skills including negotiation and conflict management
  • Proven ability to manage multiple projects and changing expectations
  • Tertiary qualifications in Marketing, Business, Commerce, Fundraising or related field ideal
  • Commitment to excellent customer service
  • Positive and professional style of working
  • Ability to work under pressure and to tight deadlines
  • Salesforce knowledge is preferable
