We are seeking a motivated and passionate individual to join our team as a Support Worker. This is a casual position and is based in our supported accommodation service in Nowra. We are seeking someone who is available for a range of shifts and can be called in at short notice where required.

The role:

  • Mentoring and skill development
  • Assisting with coaching independent life skills such as cooking, cleaning, budgeting and shopping
  • Providing personal care such as showering, toileting and dressing where required
  • Providing 24 hour support to our customers
  • Helping our customers to engage with their local communities and culture through access to Community Participation Programs and recreational activities
  • Administering and managing medication

What You Need to be Successful in this role?

  • Previous experience supporting a person with a disability
  • Current Drivers Licence
  • Understanding of Active Support
  • Be willing to undergo a National Police Check
  • Current Provide First Aid Certificate (or be willing to obtain)
  • Be willing and available to work a variety of shifts in 7 day a week service. The rostered shifts include afternoons, active sleepovers and weekend shifts
