MS Research Australia is the largest national not-for-profit organisation dedicated to funding, coordinating, educating and advocating for multiple sclerosis research as part of the worldwide effort to solve MS. Its goal is to accelerate research: into the cause, better treatments and prevention, with the aim of ultimately finding a cure. There is a small team of dedicated individuals relied upon for all aspects of the operations. Therefore overheads are low ensuring more of the fundraised dollar is directed straight to the best MS research.

In this role you will be a key member of the Fundraising and Development team, leading the growth of corporate partnership income. Reporting to the Head of Relationships, Fundraising and Development you will be responsible for developing strategies to build corporate partnerships that foster increased financial support of the organisation’s MS research goals and projects. Your primary focus will be to build and nurture a suite of mutually beneficial, creative and profitable partnerships in order to drive a significant uplift in corporate income for MS Research Australia.

To be successful in the role you will be able to demonstrate:

  • Proven revenue generation experience gained in b2b new business development and account management role(s), ideally five years plus experience.
  • Demonstrable experience of initiating and securing multi-year, six figure plus corporate partnerships.
  • Financially viable creative thinking, able to put together integrated, multifaceted proposals/pitches.
  • The ability to articulate vision, mission and progress through effective story telling.
  • Skills in managing multiple, often complex projects simultaneously.
  • A working understanding of the not-for-profit sector.
  • A data driven approach with the ability to use and interpret information from multiple sources.

Importantly, you are a memorable presenter, a strong closer and skilled in the art of charming follow up. If you want to work for an innovative, game changing organisation and have a proven track record of securing new and growing existing corporate partnerships, then this may well be the role for you.
