A unique opportunity to work across the Asia Pacific region supporting financial capability development and economic empowerment initiatives as part of Good Return's FSO Volunteer Program.

You will play a key role in the following:

  • Support client protection and poverty measurement activities across the Pacific
  • Support the development and implementation of financial capability projects with local partners
  • Support impact investing fieldwork including scoping social businesses and gender lens investing activities

You will hold a degree in Economics, Finance/Business, Statistics, International Development, Education or similar, and have at least 1 year work experience (paid or unpaid) relevant to Good Return's program areas, such as international development, finance/banking, or adult education. You will have strong written & verbal communication skills, including report writing and the ability to network and adapt your communication style for various stakeholders.

Strong communication skills and personal qualities---including resilience, tolerance, open-mindedness and adaptability---will be required to work effectively in a cross-cultural team environment

Good Return will provide international airfares from Sydney, certain pre-departure medical costs, visa expenses, insurance and a monthly living allowance (including accommodation costs).

Eligibility: Australian citizenship or permanent residency status is required to apply for this position.

Additional Information: The role will commence in early July 2019. Applicants must be available for a 4-day induction course in May 2019, prior to their placement, at Good Return's Sydney office. Later commencement dates and/or periods of less than 12 months will not be considered.
