The Computers Off Campaign is a simple but important initiative designed to educate home, business and government users on how to reduce our carbon footprint by enabling power management on our home and work computers.

This position will require you to secure and manage new, strong and lasting relationships with key corporate, philanthropic, non-government organisations as well as government departments while overseeing the successful management of tailored fundraising programs.

You will be able to operate independently; you will steadfastly strive to achieve exceptional results and continuous improvement.

Tertiary qualifications and at least 3 years' experience in grant sourcing, Fundraising and partner/sponsor relations will be highly regarded.

We prefer someone who can work five days a week however this is a flexible F/T or P/T position with negotiable start/finish times each day. Also flexible on 1 year contract or permanent employee basis.

Salary range is $60-80k however salary negotiable based on experience and working hours.

Responsibilities

  • General Fundraising & Sales:
    • Identify and pursue potential funding sources, with an emphasis on long term, sustainable funding opportunities
    • Manage sales process end to end
    • Generating and closing new sources of revenue and donations
    • Thoroughly research and apply for relevant grants
    • Implement fundraising initiatives from the annual strategy
    • Obtaining signed POs & following up payment
  • Partner Management:
    • Expand the existing partner program with the goal of engaging additional partners who can on-sell our certification program
    • Own and manage partner relationships & initiatives
  • Sponsor Management:
    • Generate new sponsor relationships and funding for a range of BAU and short term projects
    • Own and manage sponsor relationships & initiatives
  • Association Member Management:
    • Develop an Association membership program
    • Develop and undertake initiatives to increase membership
    • Manage contact, content and activity development
    • Manage member enquiries and on-boarding
  • Manage Global Ambassadors:
    • Develop and undertake initiatives to increase the number of global ambassadors
    • Manage contact, content and activity development
    • Manage ambassador enquiries & on-boarding
  • Monthly sales and fundraising reporting to CEO & Founder
  • Team work & Collaboration
    • Work with CEO to identify new opportunities and expand /refine the FY strategy for fundraising, grants and revenue
    • Work with the CEO to integrate fundraising/donations/partnerships/sponsors into annual projects
  • General business administration including:
    • Administer contacts, leads and donations in Salesforce.com
    • Social networking administration i.e. LinkedIn, Twitter, Facebook related to fundraising and business development
    • Answering queries from the public, customers and partners
    • Regular business update EDMs to customers, partners and associates

Required Skills

  • Proven success in obtaining sponsorship and long term funding streams
  • Warm and friendly with the willingness to cold call and the ability to develop strong relationships
  • Established NFP industry and business contacts with excellent networking skills and the ability to negotiate and close agreements with sponsors
  • High level of communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to communicate with a wide range of stakeholders
  • Ability to manage partners and sponsors including implementing sponsorship agreements
  • Successful grant writing experience
  • Time management, flexibility and self motivation
  • Analytical and Project Management skills
  • Superior written skills with outstanding attention to detail
  • Good computing skills including thorough knowledge of Microsoft Office

Highly desirable skills

  • Experience and contacts within the IT industry
  • Previous experience managing leads, contacts (etc) in Salesforce.com
