beyondblue is one of Australia’s respected, independent, not-for-profit organisations working to reduce the impact of anxiety, depression and suicide in Australia. 

From mid-2018, beyondblue will be leading a new National Mental Health in Education program with support from headspace and Early Childhood Australia, and funding from the Australian Government Department of Health.

This new initiative will transform Australia’s approach to child and youth mental health care by providing a single, unified program that spans from early childhood through to the end of secondary school. The program will integrate and build on the strengths and evidence-based principles of existing Commonwealth initiatives, including KidsMatter Early Childhood, KidsMatter Primary, MindMatters, Response Ability and Peer Support.

About the role

The Manager, Performance and Reporting is a newly created role and will report to the Head of Education, Start-Up. Key areas of responsibility will include:

  • Development and implementation of the Quality Standards Framework
  • Establish and deliver beyondblue National Education Program (bbNEP) reporting requirements
  • Oversee the development and implementation of the bbNEP Evaluation & Clinical Practice Framework

Working closely with other functional team members and program stakeholders, this is an opportunity to have full oversight and scope to establish performance measures, compliance based accreditation system and protocols, monitoring risk and setting up for continuous improvement opportunities.

As a collaborative team player, you will be an integral part of the beyondblue Mental Health in Education team aiming to achieve the key milestones set for program development and launch by mid-2018.  

About you

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • Tertiary qualification in public health, social policy, education or similar.
  • Extensive experience in developing evaluation and quality frameworks, quantitative and qualitative reporting systems and formats, with knowledge and understanding of regulatory and governance frameworks for state based and national mental health.
  • Strategic thinker who can condense complexity and through analysis, provide pragmatic solutions.

This role is being offered on a full-time, fixed-term basis until 30th June 2019.
