Health Information and Reporting Manager

Operational since 2013, The Way Back Support Service (TWBSS) is an innovative non-clinical follow up service for people who have attempted suicide. As the capacity of TWBSS expands, Beyond Blue are now looking for a Health Information and Reporting Manager. Part of the Service and Service Innovation Team, reporting to the Clinical Governance and Performance Lead, the ideal candidate will lead the development and implementation of an evidence based, robust approach to health data management. Further responsibilities will include the critical analysis of extrapolated data across government and service delivery agencies.

Key accountabilities include but are not limited to:

  • Provision of strategic direction and oversight of highly sensitive TWBSS data and information management
  • Lead complex performance analysis and reporting across all TWBSS sites
  • Demonstrated expertise in working with extrapolated data to inform the sustenance and ongoing improvement of service provision
  • Proven ability to impart expert advice on health information management
  • The possession of skills and knowledge that will contribute to and inform system development that ensures robust and defensible data recording, reporting and analysis
  • Demonstrated skills and adequate experience to further develop and implement audit systems which ensure best practice eService and contract compliance
  • Knowledge and ability to partake in and influence broader strategic discussions across the organisation pertinent to data management, measurement and storage

About you

You will be a self-starter with a tertiary qualification in Health Information Management or a related field. You will be adept at risk mitigation and able to prioritise and react accordingly. You will have a deep appreciation for professional and personal conduct that is value driven and adheres to established policies and procedures. You will approach stakeholder relationships with purpose, the aim being to establish, maintain and influence in a way that is underpinned by best practice outcomes. Your knowledge and experience will highlight strong communication skills, both written and verbal, demonstrated by a proven ability to research, prepare and present your deliverables. You will be able to perform in a role that requires a flexible mindset as priorities, demands and timelines shift as required. You will be able to provide a practical exhibition of evaluation concepts, precise planning, analysation of diverse information and distillation of main points of focus that will contribute to and lead planning and strategy deliverables.

This is a fixed term contract for 2 years.
