Youth Solutions is a youth drug and alcohol prevention and health promotion non-government organisation focused on improving the health, wellbeing and resilience of our young people aged 12-25 years and the community in the Macarthur and Wingecarribee regions of NSW –


Develop, implement and evaluate health promotion projects, with a focus on alcohol and other drug prevention. Key strategies will include: 

  • Delivering education and community development activities for young people, sector and other stakeholders
  • Coordinating the services’ Youth Advisory Group and Peer Education program (volunteers)
  • Provision of brief advice and referral support to young people and the broader community
  • Supporting capacity building and partnerships

Essential criteria

  • Tertiary qualifications in health promotion / public health / health education / community development / related field
  • Ability to pass probity checks (Working with Children and National Police Check)
  • Holding and maintaining a valid driver’s licence and use of a comprehensively insured vehicle
  • Ability to work flexible hours

With demonstrated experience in:

  • Coordinating, developing and facilitating group education sessions / workshops and presentations
  • Providing leadership in teams
  • Planning, implementing and evaluating health promotion projects
  • Producing high quality written communications (including writing reports and content for a variety of audiences)
  • Producing successful grant applications and/or submissions
  • Building and maintaining effective relationships and partnerships with a variety of stakeholders
  • Basic budget management
  • Administrative processes, including correspondence, minute taking, record keeping and a high level of computer literacy

Desirable criteria

  • Tertiary qualifications in alcohol and other drugs
  • Certificate IV in Workplace Training & Assessment
  • Current First Aid Certificate
