We are looking for an experienced, energetic and exceptional candidate to be our Accountant. The ideal candidate will be working in this newly created role with the Director of Corporate Services as well as alongside staff to build financial capabilities and undertake analysis to inform better decision making.

About you

  • You will be a Chartered Accountant (CA) or Certified Practising Accountant (CPA) with Tertiary qualifications in finance or related field.
  • Minimum 5 years’ experience in relevant position/s within complex organisation/s of similar scope, size and geographical spread.
  • Positive mindset and ability to see setbacks as opportunities for growth and development.

Main responsibilities

  • Conducting financial investigations, preparing reports, undertaking audits and advising on matters such as the purchase and sale of businesses, mergers, capital financing, suspected fraud, insolvency and taxation
  • Preparing financial statements for presentation to all stakeholders and ensuring compliance to all statutory requirements for the same 
  • Examining operating costs and income and expenditure of the organisation
  • Providing financial and taxation advice and preparing tax returns
  • Liaising with financial institutions and brokers to establish fund management arrangements
  • Maintaining internal control systems
