Waller Legal is a high profile legal practice dedicated to representing people who have been sexually abused in an institutional setting.

We are an innovative personal injury practice that operates under a trauma-informed practice model and offers a supportive workplace environment.

We are seeking highly organised, confident and self-motivated people to join our team with multiple positions available.

Key responsibilities for this position include:

  • Providing high level support to other practitioners
  • File management
  • Client liaison
  • Diary and email management
  • Drafting correspondence and documents
  • Preparing and collating material including briefs to counsel and court books
  • Assisting in the preparation of cases for mediation and Court hearings
  • Legal research

Key selection criteria:

  1. Demonstrated commitment to social justice.
  2. Demonstrated experience working in a law firm or comparable work environment. Previous experience managing files will be considered favourably.
  3. Experience providing support to a busy supervisor and/or team.
  4. Excellent inter-personal and communication skills.
  5. Strong attention to detail and consistent high standards of work.
  6. Strong work and customer service ethic with the ability to maintain a calm, sensitive, professional and respectful manner with a diverse range of clients.
  7. Ability to prioritise, manage deadlines and work well under pressure.
  8. Ability to take initiative and work independently as well as part of a team.
  9. High level user skills with Microsoft Office Suite and Google Apps essential.
