Canberra Community Law (CCL) is a leading not for profit community legal centre in the ACT and its region committed to social justice and human rights. We are seeking an experienced full time Solicitor with litigation experience to work in our Housing Law and Social Security Law services.

This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced Solicitor with at least 12 months post admission experience to work in CCL’s legal practice which is at the forefront of human rights litigation in the ACT. We are looking for a Solicitor with demonstrated interest and experience in Tribunal and courtroom advocacy to join a team committed to making a difference to the lives of disadvantaged people.

Key aspects of the role include:

  • Running CCL’s Duty Lawyer Service at the ACT Civil and Administrative Tribunal (ACAT) one day per week;
  • Carrying a human rights litigation casework load in the Residential Tenancies jurisdiction of ACAT; and
  • Supervising and teaching clinical law students.

Salary range is $67 727 to $79 532 per annum plus superannuation and salary packaging.
