About the program

Wesley Dalmar supports in excess of 700 children and young people in care, as well as their birth families and foster carers. We offer adoption, permanent, temporary, and respite care as well as a variety of supports to help children reach their potential, or restore them to their families.

About the role

This role will ensure that adoption of children in our care proceeds in alignment with our ethos and Family and Community Services priorities. The role will work with our diverse case management teams to achieve the case plans for children in care where adoption has been identified, as well as develop Agency competence in Adoption work overall.

As Wesley Dalmar is a state-wide service, location will be negotiated with the successful applicant, between Gosford, Penrith or Bella Vista sites.

Essential criteria

  • Degree in Social Work, Psychology or equivalent related degree
  • Experience in leadership
  • Networking skills and partnership building attributes
  • Minimum five years’ experience in Out of Home Care and Adoption work
  • Knowledge of N.S.W. child safe standards for permanent care
  • Current driver’s licence
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills and report writing ability

Remuneration

Salary and employment conditions are in accordance with the Social, Community, Home Care and Disability Services Industry Award 2010 (Level 7) with generous salary packaging available and a fully maintained vehicle. The agency provides regular supervision and support for all staff and opportunities for professional development.
