Who we are
The Wilderness Society (TWS) is an independent environmental advocacy organisation supported by around 30,000 members. We are now training a new generation of environmental leaders with our sophisticated community organising program. The work we do leverages our strong base to build a mass movement for climate action and nature conservation in Australia. Since 1976, we've stood at the forefront of the country's most historic campaigns, including the Franklin River, Fraser Island, Tasmanian Forests, James Price Point in the Kimberley and numerous World Heritage Areas. Australia's natural environment is its great advantage, The Wilderness Society exists to protect it.
The Supporter Care Representatives (the Crew) provide first class contact centre support for all inbound telephone calls and emails from existing and prospective supporters and the general public. The Crew play a vital role by working with stakeholders across our Campaigns, Community Organising and Membership & Fundraising teams to engage, grow and enrich The Wilderness Society's relationships with supporters, and to foster long-term loyalty by delivering a high-rating supporter experience.
We are looking for someone who has:
- Experience in telephone servicing and proficiency in a range of applications including database systems.
- Attention to detail and accuracy.
- Excellent interpersonal skills, written and verbal.
- Experience in applying a solution focused customer service approach.
