The Salvation Army's Transformational Gifts team is a national team of relationship managers tasked with achieving financial targets, acquiring new business, driving income portfolio growth and retaining portfolio income required to support and deliver the programs and services of TSA to our community.

The Bequest team is responsible for achieving financial targets through identifying prospects and building nurturing relationships with prospective and confirmed bequestors to TSA.

This is a key role for an experienced and motivated professional to lead a team of four Relationship Managers across QLD & NSW.

The Team Leader Bequests will report to the Manager Bequests.

Key areas of accountability include:

  • People Leadership – manage a small team across NSW and QLD
  • Account Management – manage a portfolio of Bequest supporters, meet all KPIs, represent TSA at meetings and functions
  • Relationship Development - Bequestor and prospect engagement plans are maintained and updated
  • Stakeholder Engagement - engage with key external & internal stakeholders to achieve strategic objectives
  • Administration – donor records updated, regular reporting on activities

For this role you will have high emotional intelligence, a proven experience in relationship building and communication, experience in negotiating and networking skills with high net worth individuals (HNWI) and senior executives. You will have experience in fundraising and marketing, sales or public relations, a professional attitude and a strong team focus with the ability to communicate effectively at all levels and build relationships with people of all backgrounds. A sound knowledge of fundraising standards, principles, policies and procedures is desired together with a demonstrated understanding of the fundraising process within a non-profit organisation, religious and/or charitable organisation. You will have a valid driver’s licence.
