Over the past year The Salvation Army (TSA) has been working towards joining the two existing Eastern and Southern territories into one unified organisation under the leadership of a National Commander. This will deliver a single Australia territory with an aligned vision, united voice, stronger partnerships, better stewardship, and the ability to make an even greater impact on the many people who depend on our services.

Under the new national organisation, we are creating a Policy, Research & Social Justice Department that will provide compelling research, social policy and advocacy that supports quality service delivery, increased innovation, and influences social change across Australia.

The Department Assistant will provide executive support to the Head of Department and support the administrative processes and requirements of the Policy, Research and Social Justice Department.

For this role you will have relevant experience, knowledge and skills in similar administration coordination roles; a high level of personal motivation; excellent communication skills and a demonstrated ability to build and manage relationships with colleagues.
