TAIHS is an Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander community controlled health service operating as a group practice. This practice has operated since 1975 and is located in modern purpose built premises. Services are provided by general practitioners, allied health professionals, a mental health team including a psychologist and a fully trained team of nurses and health workers. There are maternal and child, eye and dental health units, we provide holist health and wellbeing care as well as a range of social services.
TAIHS provides supported transitional accommodation to young people. We are seeking a Youth Worker to supervise clients in a residential setting, someone who is reliable hard working, honest and with the skills to work and communicate successfully with young people of varied backgrounds. Previous youth work and case management experience would be an advantage.
Requirements for all positions
- Have a current Suitability ’Blue Card’ for working with children and young people
- Have a current Queensland Driver’s licence
- Have a reasonable level of computer literacy including use of Outlook; Word & Excel
