TAIHS is an Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander community controlled health service operating as a group practice. This practice has operated since 1975 and is located in modern purpose built premises. Services are provided by general practitioners, allied health professionals, a mental health team including a psychologist and a fully trained team of nurses and health workers. There are maternal and child, eye and dental health units, we provide holist health and wellbeing care as well as a range of social services.
The Program Coordinator is responsible for oversight; coordination and monitoring the delivery of all alternative family care services for Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander children and families in line with the license standards and service delivery framework.
- Providing high-level leadership, direction and oversight in managing the day to day operations of TAIHS - Placement Services
- Establish and maintain effective and collaborative working relationships with other relevant service providers and agencies and units in Department of Communities (Child Safety) through enacting the established protocols of practice.
Requirements for all positions
- Have a current Suitability ’Blue Card’ for working with children and young people
- Have a current Queensland Driver’s licence
- Have a reasonable level of computer literacy including use of Outlook; Word & Excel
