Part-time Project Worker (Mental Health Self Help Groups)

We are a not-for-profit umbrella organisation for support groups and act as a clearing house for information and support, actively building the capacity and sustainability of groups which service their members with a wide range of mental health issues, their carers and family members.
We require a part-time project worker to build the capacity of the mental health self help and support group sector.
To be considered for this role you will have:
- experience in working with people with a mental illness
- an understanding of self help and support groups, and their benefits
- demonstrated experience in a similar role
- community development principles of practice
- an ability to structure your work to fit with the governance of the organisation
- an ability to analyse complex social issues
- experience in training and facilitation
- a Police Certificate
If you are self-motivated, flexible and proactive, with a desire to drive sustainability in this sector and have tertiary qualifications, or relevant experience in the field, then we would like to hear from you.
The successful applicant will work from our base in Sunnybank for not less than 24 hrs per week.
